Medical assistants complete administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Their duties vary with the location, specialty, and size of the practice. They take and record patients’ personal information and must be able to keep that information confidential, discussing only with other medical personal who are involved in treating the patient.
Students must have the following to attend clinicals:
- Health assessment by physician or nurse practitioner on form provided
- Hepatitis B Vaccination
- TB Skin Test
- Clear Background Check

Program Hours: 15
After completing the corresponding courses, students will be eligible to take Certification Exams through the National Center for Competency Testing in Phlebotomist, ECG/EKG Technician, as well as Nurse Aid Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP).
This program is not eligible for Federal Financial Aid
