Emergency Medical Technology Basic Certificate of Completion

The Emergency Medical Technology Program offers students the opportunity to obtain the EMT-Basic requirements in one semester. Students must have the following to attend clinicals:

Health assessment by physician or nurse practitioner on form provided
Hepatitis B Vaccination
TB Skin Test
Clear Background Check

Students must keep a current CPR card throughout enrollment in the EMSP courses.

EMSP 1501 - Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Credits: 5 *
EMSP 1260 - Clinical I Basic Credits: 2 *
HITT 1305 - Medical Terminology I Credits: 3
ECRD 1211 - Electrocardiography Credits: 2
EDUC 1300 - Learning Framework Credits: 3

Semester Hours: 15

Total Program Hours: 15

*Students will be eligible to sit for the NREMT-Basic Certification Exam upon successful completion of coursework in EMSP 1501 and EMSP 1260 .
