PHRA 1349 - Institutional Pharmacy Practice

Fundamentals of the diverse roles and practice of pharmacy technicians in an institutional pharmacy setting. In-depth coverage of hospital pharmacy organization, work flow and personnel, safety techniques, data entry, packaging and labeling operations, inpatient drug distribution systems including investigational drugs, continuous quality improvement and inventory control. This course includes the application of objectives from learning modules 1-8, 7-13, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25-28, 32, 33, 35, 36, 39, 41, and 45 from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ Model Curriculum for Pharmacy Technician Training (Third Edition).
