The Emergency Medical Technology Program offers students the opportunity to obtain the EMT-Intermediate requirements in one semester. All curricula combine classroom teaching with supervised clinical, laboratory, and ambulance internship experience. Emphasis is placed on patient assessment and initial treatment techniques of medical and traumatic emergencies appropriate to the certification and licensure level being sought. The student must be currently certified as an Emergency Medical Technician to enroll in this class (NREMT or TEXAS).

Students will be eligible to sit for the NREMT-Advanced Certification Exam upon successful completion of coursework in EMSP 1438  and EMSP 2260 .
